Dr. Shey first learned about dentistry from her father, Dr. George C. Shey. He graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1962 and the family moved to Webster City, where he opened his dental practice. Growing up, Dr. Kellee did odd jobs around the office but loved to watch her father at work. She enjoyed working with the public and felt drawn to the health care field to help people. Dentistry was the perfect solution.
In 1985, Dr. Kellee realized her goal and graduated from the University of Iowa college of Dentistry. She returned to her hometown of Webster City and has been practicing here for the past 35 years.
She loves the connections she has made with her patients during this time and has enjoyed watching them grow up, from one generation to the next.
Dr. Shey and her husband, Dan Trepp, have raised three children; Elizabeth, Madeleine, and Daniel.
She has served on various community and church organizations over the years. She enjoys reading, bike riding, travel and spending time with family and friends.
She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Iowa Dental Association and the Fort Dodge District Dental Society.
Dr. George C. Shey practiced for 54 years until his death in 2017.
